Terms of sale
The terms on which we sell kits, services and membership, and your rights as a customer.
1. Who we are
T-MINUS is a trading name of James Andrew Harvey, a sole trader, of 4402 Bagshaw Building, 1 Wards Place, London E14 9ED. Email [email protected]. In these terms, "we" means James Andrew Harvey trading as T-MINUS, and "you" means the person buying.
2. Buying from us
You must be 18 or over and buying for delivery to a UK address. For T+3 and T+7 bought at checkout, our contract starts when we email to confirm your order. For larger kits, it starts when we confirm the contents, price and date in writing and you accept. Before then, an allocation request is not an order and costs nothing.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling, are the full price you pay, and include delivery to the UK mainland. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Installed kits are invoiced in two stages: on confirmation of the survey and on completion. If we make an obvious mistake with a price, we will tell you before we accept your order.
4. What's in your kit
Every kit is assembled by hand to the manifest on its page, tailored to your household. If an item becomes unavailable, we may replace it with one of the same or better specification. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before dispatch, and you can cancel for a full refund.
5. Delivery
T+3 and T+7 are dispatched within 10 working days and T+30 is delivered within three weeks. T+90 and T+365 are installed to a schedule agreed with you after the survey. Unless we agree otherwise, we deliver within 30 days. If we are late, you can tell us a new date that is reasonable, and if we miss it, cancel for a full refund. The kit is your responsibility once it is delivered.
6. Age-restricted and dangerous items
Knives, multi-tools and the hatchet are sold only to adults and are handed over only on sight of photo ID. If nobody over 18 can show ID, the courier will take them back. Gas cartridges are sent under dangerous-goods rules. Never use a stove or gas appliance indoors or in a closed space: read the safety pages of the field manual before using anything in the kit.
7. Your right to cancel
You can cancel within 14 days of the day you receive the kit, or, for a service such as a survey, installation or the Rotation, within 14 days of the day we confirm it. Tell us by email or with the form below. We refund what you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of collecting the kit (or of your cancellation, for services not yet started).
We collect T+3 and T+7 free of charge. Collecting a T+30 costs £250. Removing installed equipment from T+90 and T+365 is charged at cost, which we estimate at up to £1,500 and £3,500 respectively, and we confirm before we start. We may reduce a refund if an item has been handled more than needed to inspect it.
The right to cancel doesn't cover items made or personalised for you (personalised and etched items; we refund the rest of the kit), sealed food or hygiene products opened after delivery, or a service you asked us to complete within the 14 days. If you asked us to start a service within the 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done.
8. If something is wrong
You have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose: a full refund within 30 days of delivery; after that, a repair or replacement, and if that fails, a refund or price reduction. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
9. The Rotation
Rotation membership runs for a year and renews only if you choose to renew. You can cancel at any time before the renewal date. The first year is included with T+90 and T+365.
10. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights under consumer law. We are not responsible for business losses. A kit helps a household cope without the usual services; it is not a guarantee against any particular event, and it must be used as the field manual describes.
11. Complaints
Email [email protected]. We reply within five working days and aim to resolve every complaint within 14 days. If we can't resolve it, Citizens Advice's consumer service can help you with your options.
12. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
