Gifts

The gift for someone who has everything

They have the watch, the wine and the weekend away. What they almost certainly don't have is three days of water, light and warmth for the night the power goes. Here's how to give it properly.

Why it works as a present

On 22 October 2026 the Government launched Be Ready, asking every household in the UK to be able to look after itself for three days if the power, the water or the network goes. Its own survey found that only 13% of adults say their household is largely or fully prepared. So the people who have everything are, almost certainly, part of the 87%.

It's also a present that keeps working. A cashmere jumper is worn for a winter. A kit sits under the stairs for years and matters most on the one night nobody planned for. And every Go Bag pays for a Neighbour Pack: three days of emergency basics for a family who can't afford them, handed out by a food bank. That's two presents for the price of one.

How gifting works

  • Delivered to them, not to you. Gift-wrapped, with a handwritten card and no prices inside.
  • Timed for the day. We can deliver for a birthday or for Christmas.
  • Set up with them, if they'd like: we can show your parents where everything is and how the radio and stove work.
  • Kept current. Add the Rotation, from £295 a year, and we refresh the food, batteries and medicines before they expire, so the present still works in five years.

Small things to add

Any kit can carry a few extras: a box of five single-estate chocolate bars for morale (£45), the Larder of tea, coffee, tinned fish, oatcakes, honey and olive oil (£120), a rechargeable head torch for a guest (£95), a 20,000 mAh power bank (£75) or rechargeable hand warmers for the school run (£45).

Christmas dates

T+3 and T+7 are assembled to order in London and dispatched within ten working days. Christmas orders close on 7 December. Larger kits are delivered or installed by our team, so for those, ask us now and we'll agree a date. For client or staff gifts, see kits for business.
